No Sanctuary.
When God- and a good photo opportunity calls
Don beats a path to St John’s soot-stained walls
Where over those peaceably gathered a shadow falls.
Here’s where his political salvation may be found,
Don feels the need to make a stand on holy ground;
Strange, when odds are he’s downward bound.
Donald might not have bent a knee in years
But see him wave that bible as the smoke clears,
Christ alone knows this disservice will end in tears.
Just when we think Don can’t toot his own horn any lower,
He proves otherwise without benefit of a whistleblower.

There have been many instances before wherein Conald had stepped in it so deeply that I thought “well, maybe this is a turning point with his base”, only to be disappointed once again. This time, though? Even some fundamentalist religious leaders (Pat Robertson!) are not impressed and speaking out. If that core base fractures even a little bit, he’s in trouble.
Still, we’ll have to wait and see what happens once the tear gas clears…

Yes, each time you think, ‘God knows, he’s done the unforgivable’ it seems His followers can forgive him anything. Again! If they can’t see him for what he is by now though all we disbelieving onlookers can say is ‘Jesus wept.’ And that has nothing to do with the tear gas. Strange strange times, my friend.

My sentiments exactly. America has had some God-awful Presidents, but this guy is making the worst of them look like a dress rehearsal for Trump.
